Polish Eagle Necklace – Wear the Symbol That Unites You
A Polish eagle necklace is more than jewellery – it's a declaration of where you come from. At its heart is the Orzeł Biały, the White Eagle of Poland, as a pendant you carry every day. Our Poland Collection includes necklaces, bracelets, rings, keychains and phone cases – all crafted from premium materials and backed by a 365-day guarantee. Whether you grew up in Warsaw, Kraków, Chicago, London or Berlin: this necklace connects you to your heritage. At d'origine, people from more than 40 countries show where they come from. The Poland Collection is one of the most popular in our entire range.
What Does the Polish Eagle Mean?
The Orzeł Biały – the White Eagle – is the oldest and most important symbol of Poland. It has adorned the Polish coat of arms for over 700 years: a white eagle with a golden crown on a red shield. According to legend, Lech, one of three mythical brothers and founding father of the Poles, saw a white eagle against the red evening sky and declared it the symbol of his people. Historically, the eagle is documented as a royal emblem since the coronation of Przemysł II in 1295. The golden crown on the eagle's head was removed and restored several times throughout the centuries depending on the political climate. During the communist era (1944–1989), the eagle bore no crown. Only with the return to democracy in 1989 was the crown restored. When you wear a Polish eagle necklace, you wear a symbol that has survived partitions, wars and dictatorships.
Polish Jewellery: Amber, Silver and Craftsmanship
Poland has a centuries-old jewellery tradition inseparably linked to amber. The Polish Baltic coast – particularly the region around Gdańsk (Danzig) – is one of the world's most important sources of amber. The Romans traded Baltic amber along the so-called Amber Road, which stretched from the Baltic Sea to the Mediterranean. To this day, Gdańsk carries the nickname "Amber Capital of the World". Beyond amber, Poland is also known for high-quality silversmithing. At Polish weddings and family celebrations, jewellery plays an important role: gold chains and pendants are given as gifts, especially for First Communion and weddings. In the diaspora, jewellery with Polish motifs serves a special purpose: an eagle around the neck makes belonging visible – to culture, to family, to homeland. Our Polish necklaces combine this tradition with modern design and materials built to last.
Material and Quality of Our Polish Necklaces
Our Poland Collection uses different materials depending on the product. The Polish eagle necklace for men is made from high-quality stainless steel with 18K gold plating – rust-proof, waterproof and scratch-resistant. The women's version is crafted from 18K gold-plated brass and hand-set with zirconia stones for an elegant, sparkling finish. Both versions are waterproof and allergy-friendly: wear them in the shower, at the gym or every day. All products come with a 365-day guarantee. Each necklace is delivered in a premium jewellery box – a perfect gift for Name Day (Imieniny), First Communion or any special occasion.
Polish Necklace for Men and Women
Our Poland Collection has something for everyone. The men's necklace features a 60 cm curb chain with a bold stainless steel pendant – the White Eagle with crown in strong relief. The women's version comes with a finer 40 cm chain (plus 5 cm extension) and a zirconia-studded pendant – elegant yet equally expressive. Both are available in silver and gold. For those who want the complete look, the Poland Bundle pairs a necklace with a matching bracelet at a reduced set price.
Polish Necklace in Silver or Gold – Which One Suits You?
Gold carries deep significance in Polish culture – at weddings, First Communions and family celebrations, gold jewellery has been the most meaningful gift for generations. The gold version of our Polish necklace honours that tradition: the 18K gold plating gives the eagle a warm, rich glow that highlights the golden crown. The silver version offers a cooler, more modern look – and connects to Poland's silversmithing heritage. Both variants are waterproof and allergy-friendly. Many customers order both colours or add the matching bracelet bundle.
More Than a Necklace: The Full Poland Range
Beyond necklaces, our Poland Collection offers a wide range of accessories. The Polish bracelet pairs perfectly with the necklace and works on its own or as a set. The Poland keychain is ideal for anyone who wants to carry their connection subtly but daily. Especially popular: the Poland phone case and the Polish eagle ring. Every product combines Polish symbolism with premium material and everyday durability.
Buying a Polish Eagle Necklace – What to Look For
If you're looking to buy a Polish eagle necklace, pay attention to three things: material, craftsmanship and chain length. For material, stainless steel and high-quality brass with 18K gold plating are the best options – far more durable than cheap fashion jewellery that tarnishes within weeks. For craftsmanship, check the eagle pendant: the crown, wings and talons should be cleanly worked and the relief clearly defined. For chain length, we recommend 55 to 60 cm for men and 40 to 50 cm for women. At d'origine, you order directly from our shop – no middlemen. We ship worldwide: free shipping within Germany, free across Europe on orders over €25, and affordable international shipping to the US, Canada, UK, Australia and beyond.
How Many Poles Live Abroad?
The Polish diaspora is one of the largest in the world, estimated at around 20 million people. The United States alone is home to roughly 10 million Americans of Polish descent, with Chicago long considered the largest Polish city outside of Poland – its Jackowo neighbourhood was for decades the heart of Polish-American life. In the United Kingdom, Poles are one of the largest immigrant communities, with over 800,000 Polish-born residents. Germany has around 2.2 million people with Polish roots, making them the country's second-largest immigrant group. Significant Polish communities also thrive in France, Canada, Australia and Brazil. A Polish eagle necklace is, for many, a daily sign of that connection – quiet, but unmistakable. At d'origine, we understand this feeling, because that's exactly why we founded the brand: jewellery that makes heritage visible.
